Your cap doesn't get ruined by dirt. Dirt washes out. It gets ruined the first time a brim folds in a suitcase, or a crown collapses in a spin cycle, and never sits the same again.
The Cap Cradle MK.1 is a high-density exoskeleton that holds a structured cap rigid under load. In the washing machine it resists water pressure and spin. In a bag it resists everything you pack on top of it. One job, done properly: resisting deformation.
This isn't cap cleaning. It's structural integrity for the thing you wear on your head.

Washing machine protocol
Load the cap into the Cradle and close the clasp. Cold to warm cycle, low spin, mild liquid detergent and no bleach. Wash it on its own or with soft items only.
Air dry with the cap still in the Cradle so it holds its form as it cools and dries. Don't put it in a dryer.
Dishwasher protocol
We're still testing the dishwasher route, so we're not rating it yet. If you do use one, top rack only and clear of the heating element.
The washing machine is the route we've tested and the one we recommend.
Travel protocol
Fill the crown with valuable items, place the Cradle brim-down at the top of the stack, and treat the cap volume as active storage rather than dead space.
